It all started when…
Erika Bennett attended an aerial yoga class in Tampa. Amazed with the positive open feeling the class provided, she sought to offer the functional exercise to the South Georgia region. After much research, training and sweat equity, Hang Out Yoga was born. It quickly took off, attracting clients from Valdosta, and neighboring cities as the region's only aerial yoga studio.
After celebrating it's one-year anniversary in July, Sherri Henschke came on board to enhance and diversify classes. Sherri came from South Florida, where she taught and managed various vibrant studios. The two women, together are quite the dynamic duo with a vision to bring even more services soon.

I'm a business-woman, wife, and mom to two little boys who understands the necessity of yoga. I wish I would have found yoga sooner, because it's the perfect way to tone, strengthen, destress, and connect back to myself. My biggest goal is for you to have fun and not take the class too seriously. Explore your body and do what feels good! Try new things. Leave feeling EMPOWERED.
Erika became certified in aerial June of 2017 and received her RYT-200 in January of 2019.
My yoga journey began years ago as a way to cope with the stress and anxiety associated with life in a military family. As I began to comprehend and appreciate the incredible physical and mental benefits of yoga, I quickly realized that yoga isn’t always accessible to everyone and people often feel intimidated by it. I am here to help everyone feel comfortable, safe and empowered with where they are in their yoga practice, and to make yoga accessible for everyone. Most importantly, I am here to serve the the local military community by helping them find peace and healing through the power of yoga.
Sherry received her RYT-200 in January 2019.
Come join me for yoga to reduce stress, develop flexibility, heal an emotional or physical injury, explore new relationships or pursue physical fitness. No matter why you decide to start, you will walk away with an entirely different outlook in your daily life….on and off the mat. Surprise yourself, step out of your comfort zone and discover the power of yoga. My first RYT-200 came from American Yoga which gave me the tools to learn Power Yoga and then I did another RYT-200 at Lifetime Fitness and learned Ashtanga the Jonny Kest way; proceeded by my RYT-300 at Yoga Aura. I am now an E-RYT-500 as well as an RYS (registered yoga school). I am also Power Pilates certified and have my Aerial Certificate of Completions as well as a YACEP (Registered Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider). I just love to share my passion with others. I will never stop learning. Always a student. Namaste
